Hair and beauty fair LOOK and beautyVISION held over the weekend of 17th and 18th March in Poznań (Poland) were visited by over 16 thousand visitors. Full sun and high temperatures prevailed not only outside. The inside of the hall was also very exciting, colourful and crowded. Glittering colours, daring cuts, crazy, vivid makeups and the latest trends in hair clipping and modeling, nail cosmetics and styling, accompanied by the special guests - world-class stars. This is a brief summary of the Poznań fair.
The star of the beautyVISION Cosmetics and Solaria Forum was Vincent de Monfreid - a world famous stylist, makeup artist, and the artistic director of the famous French school Atelier International de Maquillage. He came to Poznań at the invitation of Folaroni. His show at the Main Stage aroused great excitement, and the persons he created were the "objects" most eagerly photographed by the visitors. Another very well received show was the one conducted by Stacey Broughton - one of the most famous educators in the UK. Stacey – the star of the LOOK hairdressing fair was invited to Poznań by Macadamia Natural Oil.
The Main Stage hosted several dozens of unusual shows such as "Woman in Black" by Michał Krzyszycha, "Memories" by Robert Wypych (for Joanna company) and the jubilee show of Golili entitled "Tra sogno e realta - between dream and reality." There was also a time for the "First Face of 2012" show performed by the Waldemar Wagner Art Group for GOLDWELL, Montibello with a collection of hairstyles for the spring - summer 2012, and Wahl show called "Hair Tattoo Art". The fair audience could also watch the LHair Design show by Żaneta Pawlak and the performance of the Poznań Styling Club at Guild of Various Crafts entitled "Wild West in the street - Italian glamour at the disco." The show of Great French Hairdressers Association (HCF) was attended by Leszek Czajka - one of the most recognized hairdressers and stylists in our country. The fair finished with a lot of music - the show of “World of hairdressing” and "Make Up Trends" magazines involved the singing performance by Iwona Węgrowska, and the 10th anniversary of the Selective Professional Poland brand was celebrated with a mini concert by Alexandra.
The fair was also an opportunity for honest and fair competition. One of the contests were the 6th Polish International Championships in Nail Decoration - beautyVISION Nail Expert. The winner of this year challenge "Flower Power - the crazy 1960s'" was Anna Iracka. Second place went to Oksana Koliszewska, and the third to Kinga Pawlak.
Another event were the Polish Open Championships in Professional Makeup. This year there were two categories: Wamp Woman makeup and professional carnival makeup. The title of the Polish champion went to Anna Czapnik, the second position was won by Natalia Stawiarska, and the third by Agnieszka Mechelewska. The fair program included also the 6th beautyVISION Expert Nail Congress attended by Polish Nail Art stars. The meeting was chaired by Danka Błotna - Polish Champion in Nail Design, and Paulina Pastuszak - Nail Art world champion and seven-time finalist of the Polish Nail Art Championships and Nail Business, an instructor, and a juror of nail competitions and championships. Among the speakers there were also Karolina Wolak - Tworzydło (Perfect Beauty instructor), Alicja Warmie (International Nail Styling Instructor) and Sylwia Kisielewska (the winner of the last edition of the Nail Expert Polish Championships in nail decoration). The topics discussed during the Congress included the use of Charbonne hybrid varnishes for the classical gel and acrylic styling, nail salon decoration using acrylic paints and the benefits of innovative solutions in the nail styling.
The fair program was accompanied by seminars and lectures on such topics as makeup trends for spring and summer 2012, and the facts and myths about the permanent makeup. It also included the ninth edition of the Solaria Seminar "The sun in your hair". In addition, for two days the well-known stylists were combing, cutting and doing makeups showing the audience the fashion trends for the upcoming season. And it is going to be very colorful, feminine and sunny!
